Who we are

Christus Zentrum Celle is a Pentecostal church.
With the commitment to the faith in Jesus Christ this church is connected to the evangelic churches, which is visible through the German Evangelic Alliance. We do not think of us as the “ideal” church, but see us as a part of the church environment in our city.
Our services and our church-life are contemporary and not defined by predetermined forms and liturgies. The preaching is challenging and true-to-life, the music is contemporary. Our social interactions are cordial and amenable.
As well in our services as in our daily lives we expect the super-natural appearance of the Holy Spirit and his good gifts. People take a decision for a life with Jesus Christ, get baptized and become a member of the church which they are actively involved in. All expenses are covered by voluntary donations of the members. As a church we are a part of the Union of Pentecostal Churches and thereby a part of the worldwide Pentecostal movement. With over 100 million members and the most dynamic growth of all Christian churches it is the biggest protestant church.

What’s important

It is our vision to equip people for life through their faith in Jesus Christ.

I came so they can have real and eternal life,

more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

John 10,10

We want to live a God-honouring life which attracts other people and inspires them. We want the CZC to be a place where people are encouraged to live with Jesus, serve Him with all their heart and discover the plan God has for their life.

We do not exist for ourselves, but to be relevant and to exert influence by serving God and our fellow man and by seeking the best for our city.

God´s word is applicable and relevant for every area of our life. For this reason we believe that local churches exist to fulfil God’s calling. We are convinced that membership is not a formality, but an affair of the heart; it means to belong, to make friends, to maintain relationships, to be planted, to grow and to flourish.

What we believe

The content of our faith is solely based on the Bible, the word of God. We are convinced that the Bible still is contemporary and relevant for our lives.

God wants to have companionship with us. But as humans we have separated ourselves from Him to live our own life. Through the death of Jesus Christ in our place and His resurrection it is possible to come back to God.

We believe that God still speaks to people individually through His Holy Spirit, that he heals the sick and meets people’s needs.

BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word which has been inspired by Him and it alone is infallible.

GOD
We believe in the presence of the one God who was, is and will be for all eternity and who exists in three persons, the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.

JESUS
We believe in the virgin birth, the reconciliatory death on our behalf, the bodily resurrection, the triumphal ascension and constant intercession of the Lord Jesus Christ and that he will come again for the rapture of his church and the perfection of all things.

SALVATION
We believe in the fall of mankind and the redemption by the blood of Jesus Christ as the only means to gain personal salvation.
This experience known as conversion and new birth is a work of the Holy Spirit and is a result of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus.

BAPTISM
We believe that all believers should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit through a water baptism after repenting earnestly and believing in Christ as their Redeemer and Lord with all their heart (Mark 16:16).

CHURCH
We believe that all true believers are part of the church of Jesus Christ. We believe that every new born and baptized Christian should be part of a local biblical church.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4.

GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that God operates in the church for the benefit of the believers, to equip them for their service and for the edification and preparation of the church through spiritual gifts, services and actions (1. Cor. 12:4-6).

HEALING
We believe that the redemption includes the healing of sickness through divine intervention.

RESURRECTION
We believe in the resurrection: an eternal glory for all who accept the divine salvation in Jesus Christ by faith and in the perdition of all who pass by Christ indifferently.

What is the BFP

The Union of Pentecostal Churches is a pentecostal church and a corporate body. The Federal Conference is the central legislative branch.

The local churches are led by the Eldest, whereat the pastor is the leading Eldest. The delegates, pastors and staff members of the churches and organizations of the BFP form regions in their local areas, they meet for Regional Conferences.
In the regions itself, it is very important to know and serve each other, have companionship and grow together spiritually. Membership in the BFP is understood as “brotherhood” and “sisterhood” in which one is integrated in a theological and organizational way and supported and amended mutually.
